The next three weeks are about turning values into action. Across Virginia Beach, Democrats and community partners are creating practical ways to learn what is on the ballot, begin voting early, protect every eligible voter’s access to the polls, support our endorsed candidates, and help neighbors participate with confidence.

Whether you can attend a town hall, join an early-vote kickoff, volunteer for voter protection, help with signs, or spend a Saturday morning with fellow Democrats before canvassing, there is a role for you. Choose the action that fits your time and energy—and bring someone with you.

Learn what the three proposed constitutional amendments mean for reproductive freedom, marriage equality, and restoration of voting rights—and why Virginia Beach voters should be ready to make an informed choice. Thursday, September 17 — Poll Observer Training

Friday, September 18 — VBDC Early Vote Kickoff

Monday, October 5 — Poll Observer Training

If you want to help protect the vote during early voting and on Election Day, this training is a direct way to get ready. The Coordinated Campaign of Virginia will cover poll observer responsibilities, voter protection basics, and how to serve effectively and appropriately at the polls.

Voter Protection: Poll Observers, Hotline Workers & Ballot Cure

Early voting runs September 18 through October 31, and voter protection work is already underway. VBDC needs volunteers who can serve as Poll Observers, support the VOPRO Hotline, or help voters cure ballot issues so eligible voters can successfully cast a ballot.
