Put Your Values Into Action: Aug 23 - Sep 17 Democratic Events

Freedom Summer Virginia Beach is moving into its next phase—and there is a place for everyone to make a difference.

Led by the Virginia Beach Democratic Committee, Freedom Summer VB is a grassroots initiative expanding voter information, registration, and meaningful civic participation across Virginia Beach and Coastal Virginia. Through neighbor-to-neighbor conversations, community gatherings, and accountable follow-through, we are helping residents become informed, ready, and empowered to vote.

Whether you can make calls, attend a community event, support voting rights, or stand with working families, your participation matters. Join us at one—or several—of these upcoming events.

Freedom Summer VB Phone Banks — Districts 2 and 8

Help us reach Virginia Beach residents who do not always hear from political organizations. Volunteers will make respectful, information-first calls to low-turnout voters, listen to their concerns, and share important civic and election information.

No experience is necessary, and training will be provided. Not comfortable making calls? Ask about postcard-writing and texting opportunities. Come for the community—and leave knowing that you made a valuable impact.

Join Senator Aaron Rouse, community advocates, and regional leaders for a breakfast reception centered on protecting voting rights and strengthening access to the ballot.

Connect with people who believe that every eligible voter deserves the information, opportunity, and support required to make their voice heard.

This Is Our Moment to Organize

Democracy grows stronger when informed people participate—and when neighbors invite neighbors to join them.
