Just like the original Freedom Summer, Freedom Summer 2.0 Virginia Beach connects community conversation to voter readiness and sustained participation.
EDUCATE - Understand the three constitutional amendments and the choices before the Virginia voters.
ENGAGE - Start with trusted conversations, questions, and the concerns people bring with them.
REGISTER - Help eligible voters register, verify their status, and understand important deadlines.
MOBILIZE - Build a voting plan, remove participation barriers, and act through Election Day.
Operations, data, digital, outreach, accessibility, transportation, partners, campaigns, and volunteer captains make the journey possible.

Faith communities, labor, youth organizations, neighborhood and service groups, campaigns, candidates, and community leaders can expand trusted access without carrying the entire program.

REMOTE / FLEXIBLE - Calls, texts, vote-plan follow-up, data, design, social media, scheduling, and volunteer care.
SUPPORT / STEADY - Welcome, check-in, materials, logistics, transportation, accessibility, and event operations.

AUGUST 1-2 - FREEDOM WEEKENDS - Discovery conversation, registration support, volunteer training and community outreach.
AUGUST 6 - VOTING RIGHTS ACT 61ST ANNIVERSARY. Learn, reflect, and recommit to protecting equal access to the Y ballot
AUGST 8-9 - STATEWIDE WEEKEND OF ACTION. Field, phone, event-support, data, and remote shifts.
OCTOBER 18- 31 - FREEDOM WEEKENDS. Final voter education, registration, vote-plan, transportation, and turnout activity.
