Celebrate freedom, community, and civic engagement with the Virginia Beach Democratic Committee at Portsmouth's Juneteenth Freedom Day Festival.
Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and invites us to reflect on our history while celebrating freedom and progress. Join us as we engage festival attendees, share information about getting involved, and build meaningful community connections.
Volunteer activities include:
Booth setup (first shift)
Community outreach and engagement
Voter and civic participation education
Welcoming and assisting attendees
