VBDC Precinct Operations & Sign Team | Election Day 2026
The finish line is in sight, and our Virginia Beach volunteers are making an extraordinary effort!
With early voting continuing through October 31 and Election Day approaching on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, the Virginia Beach Democratic Committee (VBDC) is coordinating poll greeters, voter guide distribution, volunteer training, and Election Day sign operations.
Whether you can contribute one shift or several, there are meaningful opportunities to participate.
Early Voting: Six Locations Through October 31
Volunteers are distributing Voter Guides at our main early voting location and five satellite sites. Many have already taken multiple shifts, and additional coverage is needed.

Election Day: 108 Precincts Need Poll Greeters
November 3, 2026 |
Virginia Beach has 108 Election Day precincts, and our goal is to have at least four poll greeters assigned to each location.
Poll greeters distribute voter information, answer appropriate questions, and help voters find resources about the candidates and ballot amendments. New volunteers are welcome, and experienced volunteers are especially valuable in supporting new team members.

Backup Volunteers Needed
Schedule changes and cancellations can leave precincts without coverage. We are organizing a backup volunteer pool, particularly for Election Day.
If you're working an early shift, consider being available for a later one. If you're scheduled for the afternoon, consider helping with morning coverage.

Join the VBDC Election Day Sign Team
The VBDC Sign Team is coordinating campaign sign placement, distribution, maintenance, and Election Day recovery across Virginia Beach.
Volunteers are needed to help install signs before polls open and retrieve them on election night. This is a practical opportunity for those who enjoy hands-on work, coordinating with neighbors, or helping with local logistics.
Every Volunteer Matters
To everyone who has already contributed time, energy, and effort: thank you.
Our volunteers are an essential part of making voter information and assistance available across Virginia Beach. The remaining days will be busy, and your participation makes a difference.
One shift. One precinct. One neighbor at a time.
Let's finish strong!
