Freedom Summer VB connects community conversation to voter readiness and sustained participation.
EDUCATE - Understand the three constitutional amendments and the choices before the Virginia voters.
ENGAGE - Start with trusted conversations, questions, and the concerns people bring with them.
REGISTER - Help eligible voters register, verify their status, and understand important deadlines.
MOBILIZE - Build a voting plan, remove participation barriers, and act through Election Day.
Operations, data, digital, outreach, accessibility, transportation, partners, campaigns, and volunteer captains make the journey possible.

Freedom Summer VB - Key Dates
Choose one date to learn, serve, or act. More local events will be added as locations and partners are confirmed.
AUGUST 1-2 - FREEDOM WEEKENDS - Discovery conversation, registration support, volunteer training and community outreach.
AUGUST 6 - VOTING RIGHTS ACT 61ST ANNIVERSARY. Learn, reflect, and recommit to protecting equal access to the Y ballot
AUGST 8-9 - STATEWIDE WEEKEND OF ACTION. Field, phone, event-support, data, and remote shifts.
OCTOBER 18- 31 - FREEDOM WEEKENDS. Final voter education, registration, vote-plan, transportation, and turnout activity.

Choose work that fits your skills, schedule, comfort, and activity level. Training, a buddy option, and a named captain are built into the experience.
FIELD / ACTIVE - Community conversations, canvassing, voter education, registration, and Weekends of Action.
REMOTE / FLEXIBLE - Calls, texts, vote-plan follow-up, data, design, social media, scheduling, and volunteer care.
SUPPORT / STEADY - Welcome, check-in, materials, logistics, transportation, accessibility, and event operations.
CAPTAIN / GUIDE- Drive meaningful organized action. Help movement success
