Steering Committee Meeting
VBDC Chair appoints Nominating Committee Chair for the VBDC Steering Committee 2010-2011 period. (Myra Jennings). Current sitting VBDC Steering Committee (Eight voting members) elects two members of the Nominating Committee. (Paul Baker and Edith Watson). These two members may or may not come from the Steering Committee. All individuals sitting on the Nominating Committee must be dues paying members for 2009.

Monthly Committee Meeting
VBDC membership elects two members to the Nominating Committee. (Bill Fleming and Geraldine Hunt). Any individual nominated for the Nominating Committee must be a member in good standing of VBDC and have paid their dues for 2009. Members voting for these two members of the Nominating Committee must have paid their dues for 2009.
A list of Nominating Committee will be e-mailed to the membership and posted on the website and communicated by e-mail. Any individual wishing to place their name or the name of another VBDC member into nomination may contact any member of the nominating committee.

VBDC Monthly Meeting/Bayside Library, 936 Independence Blvd, Virginia Beach, Virginia-7:00 PM
Nominating Committee reports their slate of recommended Officers to the Committee. Nominations may be taken from the floor at this meeting. All nominations from the floor must be submitted by the close of this meeting. All individuals nominated must have paid their dues for 2010 NLT 9 Dec 2009. Additionally, members running for Office should have a history of participation with the VBDC/DPVA.

VBDC meeting at Bayside Library, 936 Independence Blvd, VB-7:00 PM
Election of Officers. In order to vote in this election individuals must have paid their dues for 2010 no later than 9 December 2009 and have been voted in as new members. A 2010 application for membership in the VBDC should accompany all dues payments.
In order for an individual to run for Office or to vote for 2010-2011 Officers, they must have paid their 2010- $30.00 dues NLT 9 Dec 09 and be voted in as a new member NLT than the 6 Jan 2010 VBDC meeting. Individuals paying their dues at the 9 Dec meeting will be voted in at the 6 January 2010 meeting. Dues for 2010 will be accepted beginning 1 October 2009.

-Sitting Officers may run for re-election. There are no term limits on the Officers of the VBDC.
-No absentee votes or proxies. You must be present to vote.
-Individuals running for Office should have been contacted and agreed to run for that Office
-Life Members are naturally afforded all voting privileges
