Reorganization & Election of Officers

Consistent with the VBDC By-Laws and directions from the State Party, VBDC will hold a Steering Committee Reorganization/Election of Officers to serve from January 2010-December 2011. Further information will be published at a later date, but for immediate action please see the steps below

Thursday, September 24
VBDC Chair appoints the Nominating Committee Chair
VBDC Steering Committee elects two Committee members to serve on the Nominating Committee. Members selected by the Steering Committee may or may not be on the current Steering Committee. Members selected must be members in good standing having paid their dues for 2009.

Tuesday, October 6
VBDC Business Meeting

General Membership elects two VBDC members to serve on the Nominating Committee. Members elected must be VBDC members in good standing having paid their dues for 2009.

During the months of October and November the Nominating Committee will develop the recommended slate and present it to the General Membership in early December 2009. Nominations will be taken from the floor. Election will be in early January 2010.

When the entire Nominating Committee is selected, everyone will be notified and additional information will be published.
